Abstract Poems, soloshow

Enrich. R presents his third solo exhibition at Alzueta Gallery, this time at the Barcelona Turó space. Abstract Poems, which opens on April 3 and will be on view until May 9, brings together a series of previously unseen works in which the artist continues to explore abstraction as an open and intuitive language. Without attempting to define it, Enrich. R approaches it through spontaneity and immediacy, allowing the painting to unfold in its most vivid and autonomous form.

This new series maintains continuity with his previous work, but delves into the idea of painting as a form of visual writing. Here, each brushstroke functions like a word, a verse, or a musical note that builds its own rhythm. The act of painting becomes a kind of unconscious storytelling, where each gesture complements the last and creates a composition that does not aim for a specific meaning, but rather evokes an abstract emotion open to interpretation.

The title of the works, ARIA, refers to the inner vibration of the painting—a sound that does not speak directly of music, yet is infused with it as a metaphor. Drawing inspiration from the way musical arias develop variations within a fixed structure, Enrich. R plays with repetition and change in each piece. Colors, shapes, and strokes combine with a distinctlogic, within which each painting tells its own story.

The creative process is quick and instinctive, like jotting down unfiltered ideas on paper. The artist seeks to go beyond rational thought and respond directly on the canvas, allowing the painting to anticipate the mind—and thus surprise it. This initial impulse is balanced by a more distanced gaze, which allows him to observe and understand the internal dynamics of each piece.

With Abstract Poems, Enrich. R reaffirms his commitment to exploring new forms of expression without losing the essence of his work. His painting does not resolve itself—it remains in motion, open to new interpretations and to the personal reflection of each viewer.
